About these recordings:
These recordings are a collection of Yogi Acharya Lama Gursam Rinpoche talks given during his visit to North East Tennessee (Tri-Cities). Lama Gursam visited Tri-Cities region of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia from May 1 to May 5, 2015. During his visit to the region, he provided several Dharma talks.
The Dharma talks were recorded at the Appalachian Dharma and Meditation Center (ADMC) located in Johnson City, TN and occurred over three days. All of the files are placed in basic order, outside track 1 that was actually recorded after the introductory mediation (track 2) when ADMC had to move to a larger room to accommodate the higher than expected turnout. This track was chosen instead of the first blessing in the initial room because the record quality was slightly better. Tracks one through seven were recoded on Friday May 1, 2005 from 7 to 9 pm; tracks eight through thirteen were recorded on Saturday May 2, 2005 from 12 to 5:30 pm as part of a mini-retreat and tracks 14 through 17 were recoded on Sunday May 3, 2005 as part of ADMC’s Dharma teachings. These files were place sequential and made part of collection of teachings provided by the Lama. All the tracks were digitally recorded.
The tracks were recoded using a Zoom H4n stereo digital recorder with the record levels auto adjusted on stamina mode and saved to a *.wav file (44.1khz/16bit). These files were edited using CubeBase LE 5 for length and to shorten meditation sessions to just a brief pause after the silence started. Once edited, they were encoded using the CubeBase mp3 encoder (192 kbps) and exported.
